Our county shooters made another visit to Nottingham GC on Sunday 15^th July for the Skeet Championship.

It was another sunny day but with a gusty crosswind making the targets a little unpredictable at times. Neil Howard continued his excellent form and took the championship with a superb 99, a clear two points ahead of both Tom Clifford and Elvin Lawson who won the A & B class shields respectively.

It was great to see some younger shooters at the event, George Hurst won the Junior HG with 84 and Matthew Armett edged out Matt Hall to take the Colts title with 88. Peter Armett added to the family silverware with the AA shield and Mick Feather took C Class to round of the class prizes.

In the Veterans it was again Ken Rimington that took the title, finishing on a 95, one point ahead of skeet specialist John Miller. In the Ladies Rachel Parish, having a small break from international duty, showed her competitive edge and took the title with a 91. Again thanks to Carl & the team for another faultless event.
