The Nottinghamshire Skeet Doubles County Championship was held at Nottingham and District Gun Club on Sunday, 16th April 2017. Luckily for all, the weather forecast of heavy rain was proven to be very wrong, with the day being virtually dry throughout. A light wind didn't really affect the targets too much, giving the prospect of a good competition on the day.

A total of 20 Nottinghamshire shooters entered the competition, with the championship finally being won overall by Tom Tristram, with an excellent score of 97. Tom also took the Junior Champion title, with John Miller taking Veterans with a score of 93 and Hayley Denoon taking Ladies with a score of 87.

Neil Orr took the AA Class win on 94, Granville Hodgkinson won A Class with 96, Dave Price won B Class with 90 and Jenny Hilton took the honours in C Class with a score of 86.

A very enjoyable day was had by all who took part - well done to everyone!
