Down the Line

The National Inter Counties Down the Line was held at Northampton S.G on 8/9^th October.

Derbyshire fielded teams in both Senior’s and Veterans. In very variable conditions Derbyshire’s Senior team of Will Gent 94/277, Tom Waring 92/271, Troy Hunt 93/269, Ian Hunt 91/267, David Weston 94/266 and Kane Hunt 89/254 for a team score of 1350/1500 finished runners up to Leicestershire on 1359/1500.

The Veteran team of Dave Hinchliffe 96/283, and Clive Weston 83/240 for a team score of 522/600 finished just out of the medals.

Troy Hunt was overall Junior High gun.

Dave Hinchliffe was Derbyshire Teams High gun on 96/283 winning the Avenue Plant & Quarry Services Trophy.

West Midlands Inter Counties Down the Line

The West Midlands Inter Counties Down the Line was held at Holmes Chapel on 21st August.

The Veterans team of Dave Hinchliffe 99/296, Clive Weston 99/293 and Steve Pinch 98/287 won the Gold medal on 589/600.

The Ladies team of Samantha Rhodes 88/254, Julie Havill 85/245 and Charlotte ( Lottie ) Parkin 84/237 with a team score of 499/600 finished 4th just 2 points behind 3rd place Shropshire on 501/600.

The Senior team of Will Gent 99/293, Geoff Smith 98/293, Tom Waring 99/292, Ian Hunt 95/279, Kyle Hunt 95/277 and Kane Hunt 91/268 for a team score of 1434/1500 finished just out of the medals.

Troy Hunt was Junior high gun on 99/292.

Derbyshire Teams High gun was Dave Hinchliffe on 99/296.

County Championship 2022

The Down the Line County Championshp was held at Nottingham & District Gun Club on 17th July, in overcast but hot conditions.

Dave Hinchliffe set the early pace witha 99/291 this was soon folowed by Geoff Smith on 97/288 and Tom Prescott on 97/285. Will Gent then returned to the clubhouse with 100/298, which remained unbeaten giving Will his second County Championship of the year.

Runner up was Tom Waring on 99/289 and 3rd was Geoff Fllnt on 96/283.

In the Ladies Samantha Rhodes picked up another County Championship on 88/253 With Charlotte ( Lottie ) Parkin runer up 86/250.

Veterans Champion was Dave Hinchliffe on 99/291, Geoff Smith was runner up on 97/288 and Tom Prescott was 3rd on 97/285.
