Derbyshire do the Double

The annual Derbyshire verses Nottinghamshire Fundraiser in Support of the Help 4 Heroes Charity over the disciplines of  Down the Line and Skeet began on Sunday 17^th March at Nottingham & District Gun Club with the Down the Line leg which resulted in a win for Derbyshire on 2523/2700 to Nottinghamshire’s 2504/2700.

Derbyshire’s top 9 scores were as follows ;- Dave Hinchliffe 99/295, Geoff Smith 100/293, Alan Christie 98/291, Simon Taylor 97/289, Will Gent 98/288, Tom Waring 96/284, Geoff Flint, 95/275, Peter Dale 91/260, Julie Havill 85/248. Other scores were Charlie Parkin 85/243, Samantha Rhodes 83/242 and Ron Baron 83/234.

Well done to you all

The skeet leg was held on24th March. In warm blustery conditions, both Counties battled it out for the win with Derbyshire coming out on top on 879/1000 to Nottinghamshire’s 849/1000. secureing a Double win for Derbyshire.

Derbyshire’s top 10 scores were :- Steven Ward 96/100, Alan Barnes 94/100, Geoff Flint 93/100, Peter Taylor 93/100, Nick Barnes 92/100, Tom Waring 88/100, Peter Dale 83/100, Ron Baron 83/100, Will Gent 82/100 , Sarah Johnson 75/100, Simon Taylor 57/100.

Well done to all shooters from both Counties that shot both the Down the Line and Skeet legs helping to raise £370 through the raffle and donations.
