The Nottinghamshire Automatic Ball Trap County Championship was held at Nottingham and District Gun Club on Sunday, 23rd April 2017. The weather was very good for the time of year, with only a light breeze that didn’t affect the targets unduly.

A total of 19 Nottinghamshire shooters entered the competition, with a tie for overall winner at the end of the day between Russ Hufton and Ken Rimington, both on a score of 92. Russ eventually took the honours, after shooting an excellent 24 to Ken’s 22 in the shoot-off. Ken still left with the Veterans trophy, so wasn’t empty handed.

The Ladies Champion was Megan Gamble with a score of 77, Juniors was won by James Cheung with 85 and Colts by Tom Tristram on 86.

Class trophies were taken by Ricky Crowshaw in A Class (90), Lee Clements in B Class (91), Granville Hodgkinson in C Class (83) and finally Steve Hilton in D Class (88).

A very enjoyable day was had by all who took part - well done to everyone!
