Chairman's Report:
The chairman’s report is copied below.
“Good evening and welcome to the 2020 AGM.
Firstly may I thank you all for attending this evening, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the officers and committee for their continued support and congratulate all those who have been successful in winning and competing in the competitions held in 2019.
Last year we managed to enter teams into several county events, with success fir teams and individuals well done an thank you to all those who took part. We hope to continue to build on the success by advertising in the Pull magazine, on facebook and through posters around the shooting grounds and gun shops. As a committee we will try to get more team entries this coming year but will need your support. If you are thinking or wanting to take part please speak to any of the committee members.
The County Championships have been well attended during 2019 and we hope to have 2020’s program sorted soon and advertised where ever possible.
The Wiltshire Sporting Challenge for 2019 was once again well supported. A big thanks for all of the sponsors and grounds for their continued support with this event and we look forward to running this event again in 2020 with the current 5 venues.
Myself and the committee would like to thank all the grounds, referees, scorers and all grounds staff that work so hard to make it possible for us to continue taking part in the sport. I would also like to thank the staff at the George and Dragon for allowing us to hold our meetings and AGM here.
We are always looking for new members to join us on the committee and bring new ideas the efforts put in by those who give time and effort voluntarily and whose only reward from this is to see events run successfully. If you are willing to help the committee with the way things are being done within your County then put yourself forward and help generate new ideas to move positively forward any of the committee will talk to you regarding the efforts being made to increase enjoyment within the sport.
I feel that with all the support we have had from everyone in helping and competing that 2019 has been a successful one and we look forward to 2020 being as successful.
Finally I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all every success with the 2020 season.”
