Bedfordshire CPSA Website : Bedfordshire English Sporting County Champs 2024

Bedfordshire Sporting Championship 2024

Sporting Targets 6th May.

The County Sporting Championships were held at Sporting Targets on Monday 6th May alongside the Martin Scoley Memorial Shoot. Shot over 13 stands from the planation to the quarry. A tricky layout was set to see who would become County Champion 2024.

This year we had 30 Beds shooters with 11 Seniors, 4 ladies & 15 vets.

Scott Shuckford was the top Beds shooter with 88, Steve Leonard was Runner up with 86, Andrew Clifton & Will Haupt were joint 3rd on 84.

Becky Clifton took ladies HG on 83, with Chelsea King runner up with 75 and Ira Kirenska 3rd on 69.

Jim Munday shot a brilliant 87 to take the Veterans title and he was second highest Beds score overall, John Stanton was Runner up on 83, with Bert Mason 3rd with 86.

Thanks to you all for shooting the championship, it was great to see so many people at the shoot, see you at the inter-counties.

Martin Scoley Memorial Shoot

Martin was a well-known and popular shooter from Bedfordshire, shooting for the County at several events, so it’s no surprise that the shoot was well attended from many shooters, both from Beds and out of the county, his wife Bet and brother Bob were here to share memories of Martin and a great picture of him with Ian Clifton.

Shot over the same course as the County Championship we had a good entry that took on the tricky set of targets arranged by Vince.

Henry Collins was added to Martins Cup with his score of 95 taking overall High Gun, thanks to all those who came along to remember Martin and shoot in his memory.

See you all next year.
