Sportrap Championships 2026
The Sportrap was the first of the Suffolk CPSA Championships this season, and took place at Eriswell Lodge on Sunday 29th March. The field was strong, and despite the windy conditions there were some superb scores put in from the Suffolk shooters.
At the end of the day there was a tie between Paul Simpson and Ed Murrell (having both shot a 90) for Suffolk Champion, but unfortunately neither were able to return for a shoot off and elected for count back to take place. Ed was determined as the winner and therefore County Champion. Peter Mayhew led the field in Veterans, but sadly there were no Ladies or Juniors from Suffolk that entered this year, leaving both as uncontested. High gun for the shoot was Stuart Clarke with a fantastic 95.
We would like to extend our thanks to Eriswell Lodge for hosting the shoot, and look forward to the remainder of the season. Team Manager Dennis will be in touch with those that put their names down to shoot in the Suffolk team at the East Midlands Inter-Counties Championship at Eriswell Lodge later in the year.
