Like most Counties Cornwall charges a Levy to any shooter participating in a Selection Shoot - this is charged regardless of whether the Shooter is based in or outside the County, or is a CPSA Member or not, or whether they want to try to qualify for the Team or not. This is because this Shoot will on that date be run under the auspices of the Selection sub-committee of the Cornwall CPSA and the funds raised (in 2019 the Levy is a modest one Pound) are banked by the Committee and are used for the Cornwall teams paying for:-

• The County Colours cap a Shooter is awarded upon their first elevation to one of the Teams
• The dated enamel badge every Team Member is awarded annually when successful in qualifying for a Team
• The 'keep' trophy each County champion is awarded (some 16 of these issued in 2018)

Cornwall CPSA is hugely grateful to it's Members for the support of the County Teams - we know the majority of us might not achieve County Team level (and that includes a number on Committee) but we represent the full Membership and hope we can all share some pride in seeing the Teams' success or appearances at inter-county or national events and we hope that the standards we set for Selection shoots are appreciated by all our Members.
