Staffordshire CPSA Shooting Levies
All levies collected by Staffordshire CPSA, whether at our selection shoots or County Championships are used for the following:
- The purchase, engraving and upkeep of all county trophies.
- County shooting badges.
- Help towards promotion and subsidising of shooting for Junior/Colts and Ladies shooting categories when representing the County or at Staffordshire Development Days.
- Reasonable minimal expenses incurred when attending West Midlands Regional meetings, including the WM AGM.
The Committee have taken the decision, as of the 2022 season onwards, to encourage more shooters in the Colts/Juniors and Ladies categories to participate in CPSA shoots and to shoot for Staffordshire in Inter-County events.
To that end, where possible, we will provide financial support to these categories. For example, it might be in the form of covering their entry fee at Inter-County events and/or subsiding an element of shooting at Staffordshire Development Days.
Specifically, for our Colts and Juniors, for the 2024 season levies paid at county selection shoots and county championships can be reclaimed at the end of the year by contacting the Staffordshire CPSA Treasurer.
To reclaim levies,
- Keep a note of all levies paid during 2024.
- Name of competition.
- Date the competition took place.
- Venue.
- Your class and score.
Email this information together with your CPSA number to the Staffordshire CPSA Treasurer who will make direct payment to you or a parent/guardian.

PLEASE NOTE
Anyone who wishes to represent Staffordshire in a particular shooting discipline that is subject to a selection procedure, MUST pay the required levy and take part in the minimum number of shoots required. The only exception is for Junior/Colts where Staffordshire will help to subsidise. Additional support will be sought from CPSA headquarters.
Per CPSA regulations (CPSA General & Technical Rules 1.4 ENTRY FEES & PRIZES), "any levies applied by County or Regional Committees for their official championship shoots must be paid by all entrants irrespective of whether they reside within the County or Region."
