STAFFORDSHIRE Website : FITASC SPORTING TEAM

Welcome to the Staffordshire CPSA FITASC Sporting Page

FITASC Sporting (FSP) is similar to English Sporting (ESP), but there are key differences.

First, FSP targets are shot ‘gun down’, meaning that the gun can’t be mounted on the shoulder until the targets are thrown and visible. Second, shooters don't shoot inside of a cage which restricts movement. Instead they stand in a circle or box on the ground, and targets can be thrown in a manner that might require the shooter to turn up to 180 degrees between targets on the same pair. Third, different targets can be shot on each stand, e.g. on a single stand you might shoot target A as a single, targets B and D as on-repot pairs, then targets E and F as simultaneous pairs.

West Midlands Inter Counties FITASC Championships 2019

at Garlands Shooting Ground

This years West Midlands Inter-County FITASC championship was held at Garlands on Sunday 3rd March.

Great targets were set by Steve Lovatt with something for every shooter.

This is the very first time Staffordshire fielded two teams.

The "A" team of Chris Daniels, Steve Ward, Tim Simmons, Gavin Heath, Sam Ward and James Ward scored a massive 444/500 to take the Gold medal by a staggering 17 clays. The score of the day goes to Chris Daniels with a  monsterous 98 which was 7 clear of the chasing pack.  There was just 4 shooters to break the 90 over both days.

Team "B" was Brent Woodard, Mark Colclough, Gary Tromans (new cap), Ed Harrison (new cap), Martin Butcher (new cap) and Roger Grimshaw (new cap).  All enjoyed the experience and shot well on the day.

A massive thanks to our Staffordshire Team Mangers, Roger Grimshaw and Sam Ward - you sure do know how to pick a winning team!

Well done and thanks to all the team members - you did Staffordshire proud.

💥 Sam Ward to shoot for Team GB Juniors in 2016 💥

A very well done to Staffordshire's Sam Ward.

Sam has been selected to represent Great Britain Junior’s in the European FITASC Championship on June 2016 in France.

A truly remarkable achievement for anyone to do so much in so little time.

His first registered shoot was 14th September 2014, not even 2 years ago. Just shows what we can accomplish when we put in all the time and effort that Sam has.

Many congratulations from everyone, and the very best from Phil Daniels, Paul Berry and all the Staffordshire CPSA.
