Welcome to the Staffordshire Junior and Colts Page

Our Junior & Colt Shooters are the future of Staffordshire CPSA.  Without you, the younger members, we would cease to exist.  So thank you for your support!

Please keep an eye on this website and our Facebook page for upcoming events.  Please feel free to contact us with any news or stories about your shooting that you would like to share, be it results, personal achievements, etc.  Whatever it is, we want to hear about it, so please do get in touch.

💥 46th ABT Home Internationals - 11 Sept 2021 💥

Brilliant performance from Leah Southall at the Automatic Ball Trap home internationals.

Staffordshire CPSA are massively proud of all of our England shooters, and especially our Staffordshire ones. So a hearty WELL DONE to Leah, Ian Hull and Adam Gutteridge - terrific shooting 💥👏👏

Leah speaks about her experience here:

"Great past few days down at Nuthampstead shooting the 46th ABT Home Internationals.

Yesterday I shot an 86/100 (a poor last line destroyed my score), and today I shot an 89/100 giving me a combined two day total of 175/200. This placed me joint 3rd in ladies overall.

Myself, Kath Bright and Mary Rowley were the winning Ladies team as part of the England team, and we were part of the overall winning team too. Congratulations to the rest of the England team who achieved a clean sweep across all of the categories.

It has been a pleasure shooting alongside an amazing England team this year in my first ABT Home International and thank you to Andy Greenwood for being a great team captain and to Paul Chapman for being a great team manager.

Unfortunately the banquet could not go ahead as a shooter has tested positive for covid meaning that everyone had to have a test at the ground this morning, pushing the whole shoot back an hour.

Congratulations to all of the winners over the past two days and I hope to see most of you tomorrow for the British Open.

Thank you to Ed and everyone at the ground for a great run shoot.

Thank you to my sponsors for their continued support.

The start of 2021 was the hardest time ever losing my mom.

I vowed to her at Christmas that I was going to make the:

Great Britain UT team 🇬🇧

England ABT team 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Which I successfully did, all for you mom xx"

💥 English Open Universal Trench- 4 July 2021 💥

Terrific result and fantastic achievement to qualify for the GB team - well done Leah Southall 💥 👏 🏆 🇬🇧

Leah writes:

"I have had an amazing weekend down Brook Bank Shooting Ground shooting the English Open UT. It was wet and windy for the majority of the weekend and the lighting was quite poor too. Yesterday I shot an 89/100 (23, 22, 22, 22) which is a new PB, beating my previous one by 6 clays. Today I shot an 86/100 (21, 21, 25, 19), shooting my first ever UT 25 straight.

I was a bit disappointed with the 19, but whilst shooting that round, the wind really picked up as I was shooting in the middle of a thunderstorm (it was not fun I tell you). This gave me a combined weekend total of 175/200 (a new 2 day PB).

This placed me first in ladies, 3rd in juniors and joint 2nd in D Class. I am also pleased to announce that I have made the GB ladies team so I will be going over to Malaga in August to shoot the UT World Championships as a member of the team, which I am over the moon about!

This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of my sponsors (Laporte/CPC, Eley Hawk, CENS, Ed Lyons, MacWet, Beretta/GMK), the training at Park Farm every Thursday, my coach Rod Gould, and my parents

(I would like to dedicate this win to my mum as she always knew my dream was to make the GB team).

Congratulations to all of the winners this weekend and to everyone who made the team (especially to all of the new caps).

Thank you to Wes and Alison at the ground for a great run shoot.

Not bad considering I’ve only been shooting UT for a few months!

This is for you mom!!!"
