SUPER SPORTING CHAMPIONSHIP
HELD AT EAST OF ENGLAND SHOOTING GROUND
ON 22ND SEPTEMBER
KALLUM BURRELL - SUPER SPORTING CHAMPION 2024
The insatiable appetite for the sporting disciplines knows no bounds. The very first Lincolnshire Super Sporting championship saw a total entry of 120 souls of which 48 were Lincolnshire members. Top of the tree amongst those was Kallum Burrell, who once again makes his mark in his last year shooting as a junior, with a superb score of 96. Close on his heels were Lee Sallabanks on 95 and Paul Wilkinson on 94. In this, its first year the award was for high gun only but with such a strong following, consideration must be given to expanding this to the other categories.
Top scoring veteran was Paul Tunnard on 88. Although Kallum also takes the junior title, fellow team mate, James Peatfield, put in a good showing with a score of 85, earning himself a AA classification on the day. Top lady was a young lady who is rapidly making a name for herself in the sporting disciplines. Amy Shores scored 71 and qualified for a place in the Lincolnshire sporting team this year.
Congratulations to all. Thanks, as always, to East of England for a superbly run competition. John Lee is a past master at setting a fantastic course but is ably backed up by Simon and Becky to ensure everybody has a good time.
