LINCOLNSHIRE UNIVERSAL TRENCH CHAMPIONSHIP

HELD AT EAST YORKSHIRE CLAY SHOOTING GROUND

JOHN WINN,  LINCOLNSHIRE UT CHAMPION 2024

(trophies presented by Rob Hall of East Yorkshire Clay Shooting Ground).

 

What a pleasure it was to be at East Yorkshire CSG for the Lincolnshire UT championship.  The sun was shining, there was a good dose of the usual banter mixed in with some very good shooting.  We were missing half a dozen of our UT shooters as, unfortunately, this event clashed with an ABT selection shoot at Nuthampstead but the equally unfortunate situation at East Yorkshire CSG gave us no choice but to opt for this date.

John Winn started the day with a 25 straight followed by a 24 and although John maintains that the wheels fell off on the 3rd line he never really looked back, finishing on a final round of 24 to give him a final score of 94.  This earned him joint high gun on the day and the Lincolnshire title for the 8th time.

Jackie Houghton was top lady on 81 but more importantly this gave her the bragging rights in the battle of the Houghtons as both Marvin and Dale finished on 79.
